Air Conditioning/HVAC System Replacement
Most air conditioning systems have a lifespan of between 10-18 years, after which costly breakdowns occur frequently. If your air conditioner is 12+ years old and your heat pump is 8+ years old, they are nearing the end of their lifespans. (If they have been serviced and maintained regularly, they may last an additional 3- 4 years.)
If your unit is nearing the end of its lifespan, you should definitely consider a replacement system.
Efficiency requirements imposed by the government and improvements made by the HVAC industry have made new air conditioning systems much more efficient than units that are 10-20 years old. Repairing an older unit may restore it to the energy efficiency that it had, but that does not compare favorably to the efficiency of newer units. The energy savings gained with a new unit will pay for the difference between the cost of frequent repairs and buying new in a relatively short period of time.
Brady Flanary HVAC experts can examine the efficiency of the thermal envelope (walls, windows, doors, floors, ceiling, etc.) of your home and determine the proper air conditioning system needed to cool your home and maintain a stable, comfortable indoor environment.
Proper installation of an air conditioning system is very important since an improperly installed HVAC system can reduce its efficiency by as much as 30% (according to energystar.gov). When your old air conditioning system is replaced by our NATE-certified installation team, you can rest assured that it has been installed properly and will function at maximum efficiency.
Our 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed Sales and Installation Process:
Step 1: Schedule your FREE estimate by contacting us through our website or give us a call.
Step 2: One of our heating and cooling design experts will visit and evaluate your home at the scheduled time. During this evaluation, he will discuss with you your specific comfort concerns as well as your goals for system replacement. The design expert will also obtain specific information about your home’s thermal envelope. The thermal envelope is everything that protects you from the outside elements (e.g., windows, doors, walls, ceiling, insulation). In addition, he will also complete a thorough review of your home’s duct system. As you can imagine, this process takes time to complete. Please be sure to budget approximately 1 to 1.5 hours for this step. Before leaving, the design expert will schedule a time to return with your proposal (within 24 hours of the first visit in most cases).
Step 3: The design expert enters the data about the home’s thermal envelope into a load calculation program which determines the specific heating and cooling requirements of your home. That data is combined with your specific goals and comfort concerns to build a perfect system for you. The design expert then prepares a detailed proposal for you.
Step 4: The design expert will return at the appointed time to review the proposal wth you and to explain the load calculation, the scope of work, and capabilities of the equipment needed. Note: If you want to proceed with installation, you simply sign the proposal. No payments, partial or full, will be expected. We do not collect any payment until the job is complete and you are 100% satisfied.
Step 5: Installation Day: The installation crew will arrive at your home between 8:30 and 9:00 in the morning. The design expert will accompany the crew and will introduce you to them. A quick review of the job will be conducted. The job will be completed in a timely and professional manner. To ensure that your home is protected from any messes, the crew will use drop cloths, shoe covers, and latex gloves. When the installation is complete, the crew will explain the operation of the system until you are comfortable you can operate it.
Step 6: When the installation is complete, we will contact the local inspections department to notify them that the system is ready for inspection. The inspection department will contact you directly to schedule.
Step 7: The design expert will return after the inspection to conduct a thorough walk-through. Maintenance and warranty information will be explained and a review of the work will be conducted. Payment will be collected after you are satisified with the project.
Step 8: Enjoy your more comfortable and energy-efficient home for years to come.
